Prime Timers

It has been said that when you reach the age of 50, and above, you are in the prime time of your life. Since this is the case, we are changing the name of the 50’s Plus group to the Prime Timers. We hope you love the new name and logo as much as we do! When you see this name and logo… this means you!

Dashboard is a new and fun service opportunity for Prime Timers.  Anyone who volunteers to be a "Dashboard Driver" can play a special role encouraging and praying for other Woodson members.  The idea is that Dashboard Drivers will be given two names of Woodson members every quarter to place on their "dashboard".  This may be a name of an individual or a family.  The "driver" will spend that quarter making the effort to "fill the tank" of those selected members.  This means praying regularly for these persons by name, seeking them out at services to speak to them, sending a note in the mail, and joining this person if they are sitting alone at service or Bible class.  You can also personally invite them to various applicable events going on at Woodson Chapel such as a fellowship meal, Spring Into Service, Sunday Night for The Master, etc.  Keep it simple!

Our 50 year olds and up at Woodson have certainly not gone into church retirement. Although our group has been on some fun trips such as the Hermitage, Franklin Civil War sites, Lookout Mountain, and the Ark Encounter, the focus of our ministry is outreach, service and edification.

Join us for our special events.
